Conqueror Virtual Challenge – The Berlin Wall

In earlier blog posts, I talked about my decision to try a new type of virtual run challenge, the Conqueror Virtual Challenges, as well as my completion of my first, second, third, fourth, and firth Conqueror Virtual Challenges: the English Channel, the Inca Trail, Mount Fuji, Angkor Wat, and the Marathon to Athens, respectively.

I have since completed my sixth Conqueror Virtual Challenge – The Berlin Wall.

The Berlin Wall is a “powerful 30 mile (48.3km) journey that took me “through the centre of Berlin, Germany, from Waltersdorfer Chaussee to Hermsdorf. What used to be a symbol of a world split in half by the Cold War now is the symbol of freedom, liberty, and unity.”

I chose to complete The Berlin Wall Challenge via stationary bike rides, treadmill walks, indoor rows, sessions on the elliptical trainer, and outdoor walks. I completed the Challenge from 22 August to 15 October 2022.

Just like when I completed the previous Challenges, I received a race bib, postcards along the way, a finisher’s certificate, as well as a finisher’s medal. You can find pictures of these below.

I haven’t signed up for my next Challenge yet, however I’ve been completing the Conqueror Virtual Challenges in ascending distance order (shortest to longest) with the goal of completing every Challenge at some point. By that logic, my next Challenge will be the Amalfi Coast.

Stay tuned for further updates.
