NaNoWriMo 2022 – Success or failure?

So it’s December 1 and NaNoWriMo 2022 is officially over, so how did I go?

My goal for NaNoWriMo 2022 was to write and complete as many of my writing projects as possible. While I didn’t meet the 50,000 word goal and it wasn’t my intention to do so, NaNoWriMo 2022 was my best NaNoWriMo ever as I broke my word total record set in 2018 and even managed to surpass the halfway mark of 25,000 words by writing a grand total of 29,212 words.

In regards to the writing projects I completed, I attended to my John Marsden 600 Writing Topics Challenge for the first time in four months and I completed 12 writing topics and one category of writing topics during NaNoWriMo 2022. I also brought myself up-to-date with my Furious Fiction writing challenge by completing four Furious Fiction writing challenge prompts. I also started another writing challenge, First Friday Fix, a subsidiary to the Furious Fiction writing challenge. I completed five First Friday Fix writing challenge prompts.

I also managed to complete some reviewing during NaNoWriMo 2022. I reviewed the third season of My Life Is Murder and the majority of the second season of Fisk. I also published a blog post about the latest Conqueror Virtual Challenge I’ve completed, the Berlin Wall.

I also wrote revisions to Behind the Reviews – Edition #17 (My Life Is Murder) due to having reviewed the show’s third season, which hadn’t been released when I wrote the blog post. I also worked on my Charmed and Neutrality analysis piece, however I didn’t finish it before NaNoWriMo 2022 concluded.

My word count totals throughout each week of the month varied. In Week 1, I wrote 3,438 words. In Week 2, I wrote 5,164 words. In Week 3, I wrote 14,937 words. In Week 4, I wrote 2,042 words, and in Week 5, I wrote 3,631 words.

Overall, this was my best NaNoWriMo yet as I broke my word count total record, surpassed the halfway mark of the 50,000 word goal, managed to attend to and complete multiple writing projects, and I managed to write a variety of content for all aspects of my website. I’m incredibly happy and proud of myself for what I achieved in NaNoWriMo 2022.
