Write a lullaby for a twenty-first century baby.**

Goodnight My Little Millennial

Goodnight my little millennial,

put your tablet/iPad down and rest your eyes

tomorrow is a new day,

a day where you can no longer speak your mind,

without offending someone.

Goodnight my little millennial,

tomorrow is a new day,

in a world where you can make your dreams come true,

however with so many options,

you won’t be able to choose.

Goodnight my little millennial,

tomorrow is a new day,

in a world where cost of living is so high,

mummy and daddy beg for interest rates,

to stay where they are.

Goodnight my little millennial,

try not to grow up so fast,

because when you do,

you’ll be in a battle between inflation and wage,

a degree and the job market,

and older people will complain,

your generation doesn’t work as hard as they did,

in the “good ol’ days!”

Good night my little millennial,

rest your tiny head,

tomorrow is a new day,

we don’t what the future holds,

so when you wake up!

Be brave! Be bold!

Let go! Have fun!

Crawl away from the screen,

be the best person you can be!
