John Marsden Writing Topic #390

Describe the most dangerous thing you’ve ever done**

I don’t regard myself as an adrenaline junkie or adventure seeker, so this topic was hard to respond to, but one recent example came to mind.

The most dangerous thing I’ve ever done is travel solo to another state.

Last month I travelled to Brisbane for a weekend away. While most people wouldn’t regard this as dangerous, it kind of is when you think about it–I’m female, I travelled alone, I navigated a city that I haven’t visited in over a decade by myself,  I travelled on unfamiliar public transport, I got lost on my way to my motel, and I didn’t know anyone there.

Luckily it all went well and I had a great time!
