Write about a time when something said to you changed your life**

Honestly, I don’t think this particular person and his words changed my life, however what he said changed my perspective on one of the most important aspects of my life–dating.

I briefly dated a man last year, keyword being briefly, clearly it didn’t work out. When he told me that he didn’t want to date me anymore, one of the things he said to me was “not to try quite so hard.”

When he first said this to me, I was highly insulted, however when I actually thought about it, I realised he was right. I’ve always tried too hard when it comes to dating and it’s never been worth it, I’ve usually been taken for granted and dumped anyway and I’m sick of it. I’ve been working on not trying so hard, while I believe in making an effort, if a man wants to date me and make the effort for me in return, he will, if not, he’s not worth my time.
