Write a poem, with a personal flavour, celebrating solitude**

I love Solitude

I love living on my own,

I love having my own home,

I can decorate it how I like,

inside I can live my own life.

I love working on my own,

it’s my second home,

I don’t have to work on a team

and make sure that everyone’s pleased.

I love being single

‘cos I’m always ready to mingle

I don’t always have to shave,

I’m free to misbehave!

I can eat what I like,

do whatever I want,

I don’t have to be perfect

or whatever he wants me to be.

I love my friends

but I also love my own little world,

I can dream,

I can keep secrets,

until I’m ready to release.

When I’m finally ready,

I know that they’ll always be there for me.

I love who I am

inside and out,

I know what I’m all about,

but there’s always so much more for me to know.

I love that I’m unique

and that there’s no-one in the world

like me.
