Go to a place that’s very special to you and write there**

I’ve just come home for the first time in a year. Last year, my parents had just started renovations to the house. Now the house has been extensively renovated–new floorboards, new walls, windows removed, new roof, new windows, painted walls and new furniture.

My parents didn’t just renovate the house to update it but also make their lives simpler as they get older. The renovation is a reflection of my parents, as well as myself and my older brother changing and growing up. It’s strange to see the house all shiny and like new, however it is still home, just a more mature home.
