Recall a time when a lot of people laughed at you**

I’m not sure if this counts as my fellow classmates didn’t laugh at me to my face, but made fun of me and would have laughed at me behind back. On Valentine’s Day 2004, I sent a school-made Valentine’s Day card (basically a square shaped piece of pink paper with a love heart printed on it) to a boy I had a crush on, Evan. I originally put my name on it, but then used liquid paper to try and get rid of it, however my name could be easily seen on the other side of the paper. He figured it out and word quickly spread throughout my grade, however Evan never spoke to or approached me himself. People made fun of me for a while and questioned me on it, but overall the teasing wasn’t bad and it quickly left the “news cycle.”

I told him because I previously had a crush on a boy named Travis for four years and I was too afraid to tell him, although everyone would have known. Evan was my first crush after Travis and I didn’t want another four-year crush, so I let him know. It’s actually funny when I look back on it.
