John Marsden Writing Topic #442

Write about an illness or injury you’ve had**

For this writing example, I will be writing about the latest injury I’ve had. The latest injury I’ve had was a sprained ankle about six months ago.

I was walking to work and my left foot gave way, it felt like it was shaking and I fell onto the footpath. A young man stayed with me, helped me up and I hobbled my way to work. I thought that I just twisted my ankle, however the pain was excruciating and I could barely walk at the end of the day. I took the next day off work to have it x-rayed, my ankle wasn’t broken and because of the absence of broken bones, my doctor then told me my ankle was sprained. My doctor wrapped my ankle up in a bandage and told me to rest it. Luckily the weekend was coming and I spent as much time off my feet as I could. I went back to work on Monday and my ankle eventually healed over the following week.
