When are people no longer children? How do you tell that they’ve ‘grown up’?**

I believe people are no longer children when they reach the age when they are entitled and sometimes legally required to make decisions on their own (e.g. voting, paying bills, paying taxes). I also believe that you can tell that children have grown up when they are not only making said decisions, but when they are capable of taking on and making these decisions all on their own. I also believe that you can tell that children have grown up when they are able to be fully independent from their parents—physically, mentally and financially.
