What sensible, practical rules for modern manners should we observe?**

-Saying please and thank you

-Holding the door open for people who are coming through a doorway either behind us or after us

-Cover your mouth when coughing

-Keep the volume down when listening to music both when using headphones and when using speakers

-Don’t hog up seats when using public transport

-Give up your seat for the elderly, the disabled, the injured and pregnant women when using public transport

-Apologise when you’re wrong or have said something below the belt

-Be polite to everyone overall
