John Marsden Writing Topic #101

‘Action is the enemy of thought.’ (Joseph Conrad)**

My interpretation of this quote is that it is true. A thought is safe in our heads, no-one has to know about it or what we are thinking. Once we act on that thought, it is out in the open and once we act we can’t turn back, undo or erase. This leaves us vulnerable to mistakes and judgement, however it also provides opportunity for growth and adventure. Perhaps, this quote is only true for bad or scary thoughts.
