John Marsden Writing Topic #36

List ten ways to cross a crocodile filled river. There’s no bridge and you have no tools**

1. Walk on rocks in the water

2. Climb across trees to get from one bank or side to the other

3. Swim across the river (not recommended but still a way)

4. Distract the crocodiles with food and swim across (The topic said no bridge and no tools, NOT no food)

5. Find huge branches to use as stilts

6. Find a huge branch to use as a pole vault to get from one bank or side to the other

7. Hire a boat, kayak or canoe (The topic said no bridge and no tools, NOT no boats, kayaks, canoes or mobile phones to call the boat/kayak/canoe hire places)

8. Walk through the river, constantly moving around, never staying in one spot, to distract the crocodiles

9. Distract the crocodiles by throwing rocks, sticks and/or mud in the other direction

10. Jump from one bank or side to the other
