I had to cover this up.

I wiped my prints from the gun I used to shoot him in the chest…and the abdomen for good measure. I also wiped the fork I used to stab him, add a few stab as well as gunshot wounds to throw them all off.

I opened the door into the alley, sticking my head out to make sure no-one else heard me and that they’d hadn’t been called. No-one was outside and I didn’t hear the signature sirens nearby.

I took the chalk out of my pocket and drew the outline of his body before walking out the door and rolling the tape across it.

There was only one thing left to do.

I got my phone out of my pocket and called them, waiting to hear them greet me, talk to me. Sutherland answered.

“Sutherland, it’s Crawford, we’ve got a body in the back of the Bellman Theatre, bring Forensics with you.”
