2020 Blackmores Sydney Running Festival – Virtual Run
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many major fun runs have gone virtual (if they didn’t postpone or cancel altogether); one of those was the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival.
The Blackmores Sydney Running Festival is an annual running and walking event with a range of distances to suit everyone – all of them run over the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The range of distances to suit everyone are: 3.5km, 10km, half-marathon and marathon.
This year was the first time in its 20-year history that the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival went virtual. I chose to complete the 3.5km distance.
Participants had to complete the virtual run between 20 September and 8 November 2020. I completed my run on 8 November 2020 in 41 minutes and 23 seconds. My virtual medal and data for this run can be found below.
