AWC–Furious Fiction
I decided to give myself another writing challenge: the Australian Writers’ Centre Furious Fiction monthly competition.
On the first weekend of every month, the Australian Writers’ Centre publishes a brief with rules/prompt for the current month’s competition. The brief is released on the first Friday and the deadline is 11.59pm that Sunday. It is a short story competition with a 500-word limit and the winner takes home $500.
I’ve written three short stories so far based on the September, October and November 2018 briefs. I wrote these stories as part of NaNoWriMo and my John Marsden 600 Writing Topics Challenge. I didn’t submit them to the competition as I wrote them after it closed. I’m hoping to submit short stories to the competition soon.
