Blood, dung, honey, oil, water, salt**

Crush

There’s no way that Declan won’t notice me at school tomorrow.

I’ve had a crush on Declan ever since I first saw him on the first day of school last year. He was the new kid everyone noticed him, including all the girls. He noticed them too and quickly made his way through them.

He noticed me, but only as a friend, a best friend. I’m not that pretty, I’m plain with a few pimples and have a stick-like figure. I’m also a goth, so dressing in black or dark purple most of the time, with pale make-up, black lipstick and jewellery to match doesn’t help me, according to Declan and my parents anyway.

I tried dressing more “girly” for him and he didn’t really care, he thought I was just playing “dress ups” and that I was trying to get another boy to notice me. He told me to be myself despite making the “girly” comment….boys are confusing. Tomorrow he won’t be confused anymore.

I’ve been dabbling in witchcraft lately and found a love potion–a few drops of blood, some dung, a dash of honey, equal drops of oil and water and a pinch of salt. I bathe in it like I would strawberry shower gel and he will find me irresistible.

If this doesn’t work, I don’t know what will, I hope it does, he’s the only boy who pays attention to me.
