John Marsden Writing Topic #273

‘It’s easier to be angry than sad’. Write a story about a character who finds it easier to be angry than sad**

The Grieving Process

I’m going to break the rules of this writing topic, as well as the category, by writing about myself.

I find it easier to be angry than sad when times are bad for me, as I find it easier to cope with grief when I’m angry. It’s easier to function day-to-day during the grieving process, when enveloped with anger rather than tears, especially as crying makes me physically ill.

I found this effective when grieving over several losses in my loss through death, my parent’s separation a decade ago, bad dating experiences and when my heart has been broken.
