The Search
She chose to destroy,
because she did not understand
how she could attract a boy.
She chose to destroy,
because she did not understand
why boys would hurt,
the feeling something she could not stand.
She chose to destroy,
because she did not understand,
how she could ever be enough,
how she could ever be herself fully,
how she could ever be truly loved.
She chose to destroy,
because she did not understand,
how it could be possible,
she was so use to being alone
all on her own.
She chose to destroy
because she started to believe that finding ‘The One’
could not be done.
