John Marsden Writing Topic #145
From Writing Topic #131 until Writing Topic #149 are “based on a book”. The book I have chosen to focus on is Where Rainbows End by Cecelia Ahern.
‘People who read this book will have more insight–to themselves and their world.’ Is this true?**
For Where Rainbows End I think this is slightly true. When people read this book they will have more insight into how life works rather than to themselves and their world. Where Rainbows End is all about the choices that Rosie and Alex make, as well as fate intervening on their lives every now and then. People who read this book will have more insight into life and how to work with the curveballs its throws at them, as well as the possibilities that life and its curveballs can offer. For example, Rosie always dreams of running/owning a hotel and originally hates B&Bs, however after her mother passes away and she inherits her childhood home, she converts it into a B&B. She achieves her dream of running an accommodation, it’s just not a hotel.
