From Writing Topic #131 until Writing Topic #149 are “based on a book”. The book I have chosen to focus on is Where Rainbows End by Cecelia Ahern.
Explain how the main character develops as the story proceeds**
Rosie & Alex develop both physically and emotionally as the story spans over 40 years. Rosie develops through her choice to become a mother at 19 years old.
Rosie progresses from a depressed, lonely and burdened woman who constantly puts herself last to a strong and successful single mother and businesswoman.
Alex progresses from a cocky little boy and teenager to a successful doctor and devoted father & godfather, who manages to move past his emotional insecurities (which shows through his two failed marriages).
