Disney Era Analysis – The Streaming Era
Now that I’ve finished reviewing and analysing Disney’s Revival Era, the next era I will be exploring is the current era, the Streaming Era.
The Streaming Era currently consists of six animated feature films and kicked off in 2021:
- Raya and the Last Dragon
- Encanto
- Strange World
- Wish
- Moana 2
- Zootopia 2
The Streaming Era so far has been known for its film releases being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the animation department focusing on new ideas, and its storytelling having a more cultural, familial, and social issue focus.
As mentioned earlier, the Streaming Era is the current era, with the most recent release (at the time of writing) being Zootopia 2.
