John Marsden Writing Topic #343
Take a bath by candlelight then write a poem about it.**
Wash Away
The day is done,
it’s time to rest
before I can
I need to get things off my chest,
relieve my stress,
by washing the day away.
No romantic, candlelit bath for me
a long, hot shower is what I need.
The darkness outside my window,
balances the bright light above me,
no-one can see me
I have the privacy I need
to wash the day off me.
When the day is washed off me,
I leave the safety of the steam,
get myself ready to dream
before I have to do it all again,
lather, rinse, repeat.
