John Marsden Writing Topic #422

Describe all the triumphs of your life**

-Being (wrongly) diagnosed with an intellectual disability and my parents being told that I would need to be in special classes all through school, only to end up being in mainstream classes a year later and ended up doing the HSC.

-Finally getting my full Drivers Licence after three failed attempts.

-Having my writing published overseas, especially in the UK as they are a tough (publishing) nut to crack.

-Successfully recovering from foot surgery as it was my first surgery and I couldn’t walk for two weeks.

-Getting a job before graduating from uni.
