Back to Brick

This is a literary journalism blog dedicated to the exploration of technological dependence and addiction in the 21st century.

This website includes a 5000+ word literary journalism feature exploring technological dependence and addiction, through the perspectives of six people of four different age groups. It also includes information on past, present and future television, music, telephone and video game technology. I completed this blog after two months of work in November 2013.

Illawarra Quill

This is a multimedia blog on writing in the Illawarra, which I established for an assessment task in my fourth year of uni. I completed this blog after three months of work in November 2013.

ABCs of Uni Life

This blog originally started as a column series for Tertangala, a University of Wollongong publication. The ABCs of Uni Life documents my experiences of university life—from before it all began with my UAI and gap year, through to my graduation. The purpose of the ABCs of Uni Life is to provide prospective uni students and their parents an idea of what uni life is like. I wrote the series from late 2013 until early 2015.

For Reading: Short Stories, Just Written

This blog was my project for NaNoWriMo 2017, it consists of micro novels.

Facebook@UOW

This is a Tumblr blog that I created with three of my creative writing classmates for a group assessment task in my second year of uni (2011). Myself and my three classmates got people to write down on paper what they would post as a Facebook status update, as if they were sitting at their computers, and sorted these statuses into categories and published them on the blog. The aim of this blog was to provide writing back to the community.

Weekend Notes

Weekend Notes is a website that provides a library of activities for people to do on the weekend, in a variety of cities around the world. The articles on Weekend Notes are contributed by a community of writers and reviewers. I contributed seven articles to Weekend Notes in 2018, focusing on tours and tourist attractions I had visited in Perth, Wollongong, Melbourne, Uluru, Alice Springs and Brisbane.
