When I was a little girl, I also wanted to live in a townhouse or house with a staircase. I loved stairs, I still do, all types of stairs—wooden, metal, cement, spiral.

I ended up with a spiral staircase in my first house and then I moved into another house with my husband, which had a wooden staircase and started a family.

Now I’m a grandmother with arthritis. My grandson had to put in a stair lift for me as it’s too painful for me to use the stairs now…be careful what you wish for.
